With the Cobra Motor Colors range, you can paint any part of your vehicles, not just bodies but also interiors, engines, wheels, tires, lights, exhausts, trim, and any other detail of your favourite vehicles.
Cobra Motor paints are acrylic-based, but when thinned and airbrushed, they behave like lacquers due to their excellent resistance, coverage capacity, and flow. Moreover, they have great self-levelling properties, making them very easy to use with both airbrush and brush. The major difference from other car modelling paints is that they are non-toxic, reducing toxicity during your modelling process to just the lacquering phase. Another significant advantage is their efficiency; due to the need for dilution, a single bottle can paint many models compared to paints from other brands.

This is a three star rating!
Like the title says, this is a three star rating, but the website doesn't let me change it from 5 stars...

I was really forward to this book. I do have the AK interactive FAQ Civil Vehicles book. I really like that one, but the English translation is so bad, often I don't get what the author is trying to tell me. Knowing and loving the Ammo publications, I knew this wouldn't be the issue here. And in fact Ian Hamilton again did a great job, making this a joy to read for the English speaking reader.
The photographs are lovely and highly detailed, print quality and binding are outstanding!
The introduction paragraphs for each build are a nice addition.

So, why only three stars?

The book covers a walk-through of six builds. Out of those six three are 1:12 Model Factory Hiro models. While those models are absolutely amazing, the kits start at around 600€!
Maybe it's just me, but whoever is willing to spend that amount of money on a model kit shouldn't need a book focused on beginner.

The walk-throughs are in the style of the Ammo YouTube videos. I could even imagine the same voice reading them to me. Like the YouTube videos they are quite informative but remain very superficial. Like the videos the book is more an advertisement for Ammo products.
I have no problem with using the brands products in a publication by that brand, but it feels like not much more than just that: A nice catalogue of automotive scale model products and a quick guide on how to use them. Paired with a couple of build tips for models that are way out of my price range.
