Launched in September 2024, Ionic is the culmination of four years of development and over two decades of experience. Designed for miniature painters of all skill and experience levels, Ionic offers an exclusive formulation in a more practical bottle. 

Key Features:

The Paint: A non-toxic acrylic with premium, high-coverage pigment, Ionic is water soluble and can also be used with its own specific thinner. This is a new and exclusive formulation with no equivalent on the market.  

Finish and Texture: Ionic provides a balanced matte finish that preserves color saturation without chalkiness. Thanks to its self-leveling properties, Ionic dries to a thin, uniform result with no brush strokes, regardless of whether it is applied in highly diluted or denser layers. 

Consistency and Mixing: Ionic’s consistency and viscosity allow for excellent coverage and facilitate effortless blending and mixing of colors directly on the miniature. All colors in the range can be mixed with each other or other water soluble acrylics.  

Smart Bottle: Presented in AMMO's exclusive transparent and flexible 20ml bottle, featuring a one-piece cap and dropper dispenser that is easily opened and closed with just one hand. Its design prevents any clogging or spills. Each bottle includes a stainless steel agitator ball. 

Drying and Application: Ionic has a fast drying time, while allowing enough time for comfortable blending and the creation of transparencies. Once dry, it can be covered by successive layers of acrylic paint, inks, washes, or any other modelling product. The Ionic Thinner can be used when airbrushing, whilst the Thinner with Retarder provides a longer working time, facilitating wet blending directly on the miniature.  

Color Range and Themes: Ionic covers a wide chromatic range, making it perfect for fantasy, sci-fi, historical, and wargaming miniatures. It includes saturated, vibrant, luminous, and dark tones, pastels, and a wide variety of magentas, greens, and blues, making it easier to create highlights and shadows.
